July 2000 (part 4)
                 From July 13th to July 19th, days were dragging on, and each day was the same as the one before... We were waiting to go to Moscow to do some formalities at the French Consulate...

                 But, before that, we had to stay in Novosibirsk to do some formalities there as well...  I don't know what FOR-MA-LI-TIES are, but all I know is that it takes a loooooong time...  If you are in a hurry, I would not advise you to do some for-ma-li-ties...

                 So, while waiting, I was learning how to crawl in the hotel room.

 In the evenings we would go to the grillmaster to have dinner, it was just around the corner.
From time to time, Alla (not Alla the interpreter but Alla, the coordinator) would knock to our door (under any pretext) and would suddenly look very frightened and worried and she would say something like: 'Oh, but this little girl's feet are icy...' like someone who thinks I am not going to live very long at this rate... One day she even said that I would have been better off at the orphanage... bat.gif (12403 octets)
Sophie and Mommy were not happy of course, but they didn't dare saying anything because if Alla had decided to stop coordonating............
Who would have coordonated then ??? Hey????  So they nearly had a hernia of their cheeks muscles but they didn't complain !!!
                   Now, Mommy thinks it was a bad case of "plain-stupidity-and-not-thinking-before-talking" (did I tell you that Mommy is a psychiatrist?) but at the time she had not much humor to spare !!!

                  Eventually Mommy managed to get my passport and lots of other important stuff...

                   On July 19th, at last, we took the plane for Moscow... I was a bit impressed because it was the first time I was taking a plane avion.gif (22063 octets) This might be why I started moving in every direction and ended up throwing up my kacha on the gentleman who was sitting next to Sophie... Ooooooppssss....
